You’ve probably heard it before, but “what’s your sign?” normally isn’t associated with monsters or other mystical creatures, that is unless…you’re artist Damon Hellandbrand. He’s created a series of “Zodiac Monsters” that show these symbols as nightmarish creatures from movies like Silent Hill, Resident Evil, etc. The creatures start out are born as pencil drawings or watercolors and then get imported into digital illustration software (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) for retouching. Hellanbrand says: “…basically whatever medium I’m in the mood for” – taking inspiration from artists like Ralph McQuarrie, Boris Vallejo and Frank Frazetta. Continue reading to see more.
