Yes, even North Korea has computer labs, as you can see in the image above. However, every single one of their computers runs Red Star OS. This operating system consists of a modified Mozilla Firefox browser called Naenara, used for browsing the Naenara web portal on the North Korean internet network known as Kwangmyong. The latest version, Version 3.0, like its predecessors, runs Wine, a piece of software that allows Windows programs to be run under Linux. Red Star 3.0 uses a KDE 3 desktop and resembles Apple’s OS X up to Mavericks, whereas previous versions more closely resembled Windows XP.
