YouTuber Wylsacom has somehow managed to get his hands on a 14-inch MacBook Pro M4 base model ahead of its release, which is rumored to be early November. Official specifications have not yet been announced, but we can see that this new laptop comes standard with at least 16GB of unified memory and a 512GB SSD.
Since we already know the M4 features 10 CPU and 10 GPU cores, it’s not surprising that the chip scores higher than its predecessor. More specifically, it scored 3,864 and 15,228 in Geekbench’s single and multi-core tests. These numbers mean that it’s just a tad bit faster than the highest-end iPad Pro with Apple M4, which scored 3,715 and 14,690 points. Wylsacom also compares it to devices with Apple M2 and M3 chips.
