The 2024 MINI Cooper EV has been officially unveiled in both Cooper E and Cooper SE variants. Starting off, the Cooper E is powered by a single, front-mounted electric motor generating 181 hp and 213 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to hit 62 mph in 7.3 seconds.
The more powerful Cooper SE makes 214 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 6.7 seconds. It comes standard with a floor-mounted 40.7-kilowatt-hour battery good for a 189-mile range, while the Cooper SE sports a 54.2-kilowatt-hour battery good for 249-miles on a full charge. Technology wise, MINI Experience Modes can be activated inside the cabin at the push of the ‘Experiences’ button. For example, GO-KART mode turns on a projector behind the central OLED display and bathes the cockpit in the John Cooper Works-inspired shades of anthracite and red.
