According to scientists, a mutant “is an individual, organism, or new genetic character, arising or resulting from an instance of mutation, which is a base-pair sequence change within the DNA of a gene or chromosome of an organism resulting in the creation of a new character or trait not found in the wild type.” We’ve rounded up three real-life examples for your viewing enjoyment. 3. Pyro

That’s right, an unnamed 11-year-old girl from Vietnam is allegedly able to set things on fire with her mind. According to Du Quang Chau – an expert in radiesthesia – who conducted a series of tests on her, something peculiar in her brain’s right hemisphere was found that can’t be explained – a strange halo.

“We will gradually eliminate possibilities one by one, then we will hopefully find out the actual cause of the phenomenon.” T. recently made headlines after her parents reported plastic and cloth substances around her went up in flames. She can reportedly set things within a 20 meter radius on fire without having to focus on or touch them, though conclusive proof has to be obtained yet.

2. Mystical Blue Eyes

According to the ADG, Nong Yousui of China was not only born with blue eyes, but is able to see in near complete darkness. That’s right, “Yousui has to squint when he plays outside and his vision gets blurry; as a result of his special eyes, he’s able to catch crickets at night without needing a flashlight.”

Aside from being lucky that they weren’t green, Nong can apparently see in the dark, which he demonstrated by completing a test underneath a stairwell while Chinese journalists “used blankets to block out most of the light.”

1. Magneto

Yes, Magneto exists in the wild, or at least partially. Six-year-old Croatian boy Ivan Stoiljkovic can purportedly hang up to 55-pounds of metal from his chest, including cutlery, coins and even a heavy non-stick frying pan. According to members of his family, when Ivan takes off his shirt, metallic objects such as spoons and even mobile phones stick to his body.

Ivan, it is also claimed, is much stronger than other children his age and is able to easily carry bags of cement as heavy as 50-pounds. And that isn’t the end to Ivan’s unusual talents, his family say Ivan has also used his ‘healing’ hands to alleviate his grandfather’s stomach pains and take away the pain of a neighbor who hurt his leg in a tractor.
