It seems like most smartphone manufacturers only care for slimmer designs and larger displays, but Berkely-based Monohm aims to change that with the Runcible. Sporting a completely circular design, complete with a convex wooden back designed to nestle in your palm, it features a display on the front and rear-facing camera. The company says you’ll still be able to make calls, browse the web, text, snap photos and more. Anderson, Monohm’s CEO, says: “The form factor has a long history — magic stones in your hand, compasses, women’s compacts.” No word yet on pricing, but it’s rumored to cost $600+.
