Alien abduction technically refers to “subjectively real memories of being taken secretly against one’s will by apparently nonhuman entities and subjected to complex physical and psychological procedures”. 5. Betty and Barney Hill

Betty and Barney Hill were an American couple who claimed to have been abducted by extraterrestrials in a rural portion of New Hampshire on September 19-20, 1961. They saw what they thought was a shooting star, until it moved upward. Both got out of the car and stared at the UFO until it suddenly veered right at them. The two rushed back to their car and took off, but this wasn’t the end of their experience – they claimed to have lost two hours they cannot account for.

4. Kirsan Ilyumzhinov

Kirsan Ilyumzhinov is a multimillionaire businessman, the leader of the only Buddhist region in Europe, and head of FIDE. However, he has another claim to fame, as he was supposedly abducted by aliens who landed a spaceship on his balcony in 1997. Here’s what he has to say: “They put a spacesuit on me, told me many things and showed me around. They wanted to demonstrate that UFOs do exist.”

3. Kelly Cahill

On the night of August 1993, a then 27-year-old Kelly Cahill, her husband and three children were driving home after a visit to a friend’s house. After midnight the Cahills first noticed the lights of a rounded craft with windows around it. It silently hovered above the road. Different colored lights were clearly visible on the bottom of the object.

According to Amaury Rivera’s story, on the evening of May 14th, 1988 he was walking out of a photography gig when he spied what seemed to be something odd going on in the evening sky. 1. Travis Walton

Travis Walton is an American logger who was allegedly abducted by aliens on November 5, 1975, while working with a logging crew in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest in Arizona. He vanished into thin air, but reappeared after a five-day search. It is furthermore one of the very few alien abduction cases with corroborative eyewitnesses, and one of few abduction cases where the time allegedly spent in the custody of aliens plays a rather minor role in the overall account.
