Here’s an adorable look at Rupee, a former stray dog that just made history by becoming the world’s first dog to climb Mt. Everest. This stray was found hungry in Northern India, and his current owner, Joanna Lefson, decided to rescue him and nurse him back to health by feeding him a high protein diet of eggs and rice. Because Rupee was born in the Himalayas, he did not suffer from altitude sickness like most dogs would. “There were many tourists climbing the mountain at the time and they couldn’t believe that a dog was heading to Base Camp,” said Lefson.
