CD Projekt Red has confirmed that they are working on The Witcher 4, but not much is known about the sequel just yet. TeaserPlay has an idea of what they want to see in The Witcher 4, so they came up with a concept trailer made in Unreal Engine 5. This installment will allegedly be centered around a new Witcher school that was developed exclusively for this title, called ‘Lynx School’.
As for the release date, CD Projekt Red delayed the NExt Gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt until Q4 2022, which means the earliest we should expect to see The Witcher 4 would probably be around Q4 2023. Recommended PC specs could change as the release date draws near, but you’ll need a system that can at least run Cyberpunk 2077 perfectly. This means an Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3200G CPU, at least 12GB of RAM and NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB / GTX 1660 Super or AMD Radeon RX 590 GPU. Don’t care for this fourth installment? You can always watch the real-life Witcher build a PC in his spare time here.

This is an exciting moment as we’re moving from REDengine to Unreal Engine 5, beginning a multi-year strategic partnership with Epic Games. It covers not only licensing, but technical development of Unreal Engine 5, as well as potential future versions of Unreal Engine, where relevant,” said CD Projekt Red.
