Not even RT64, a ray-tracing Nintendo 64 emulator, can replace playing actual games like Super Smash Bros on a real console. One game that nobody has ever played is this Super Smash Bros prototype, which was shared by game designer Masahiro Sakurai on his new YouTube channel.
Originally released in 1999, Super Smash Bros is the first fighting game that involved a crossover between several Nintendo franchises, including Star Fox, Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Kirty, Mother, F-Zero, and more. However, since this is a prototype build, you won’t see any of those skins, just generic polygonal characters with the familiar life percentage number above their heads. It even had its own title, “Dragon King: The Fighting Game”, that turned into the four-player fighting game that sold over 5-million copies worldwide by 2001.
