N-ARK’s Dogen City is essentially a floating metropolis unlike any other that you’ve seen. Measuring 2.5-miles in circumference, it would house up to 40,000 people – split in to 10,000 residents and 30,000 visitors – and provide the best in health care using the latest technologies.
The circular-shaped floating city can not only withstand natural disasters, but also offers public housing, medical research centers, food production facilities, spacecraft launch ports, and more. There are three levels, each of which serve a specific purpose. On the first level are the inhabitants and the second for office buildings / research centers. Beneath it all is an underwater data center to keep everyone and everything connected. It aims to generate 7,000 tons of food and 22,265,000 kW of power annually.
