Elon Musk officially announced today the formation of X.AI, an artificial intelligence company that will attempt to understand the true nature of the universe and reality. This company, separate from Twitter, Tesla and SpaceX, aims to make use of innovative techniques as well as analyses including Transformer-XL, Autoformalization, the Memorizing Transformer, Batch Size Scaling, and μTransfer.
Speaking of AI, Elon Musk reportedly purchased approximately 10,000 GPUs back in April and the announcement today reveals what they will most likely be used for. The X.AI team is planning to hold a Twitter Spaces talk on July 14th where interested parties can meet the team and ask questions. No time is listed, but we assume it will be revealed in the next 24-hours or so.
