EHang’s EH216-S manned drone could be yours for a cool $332,000 USD after it received a Type Certificate (“TC”) from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (“CAAC”). Furthermore, it’s the world’s first pilotless passenger-carrying eVTOL aircraft system to obtain a standard airworthiness certificate yet.
It has a maximum takeoff weight of 1,433 lb and can hit a top speed of 81 mph, thanks to 16 propellers as well as 16 electric motors, powered by batteries, which take around 120-minutes to fully charge. On a full charge, you can expect approximately 22-miles of range, making the EH216-S perfect for intercity trips.
