DIY Perks Largest iPhone in the World
Owning the largest iPhone in the world would defeat the purpose of it being a handheld computer, but inventor Matthew Perks of DIY Perks and technology expert Arun Maini think otherwise. Accomplishing this feat required lots of time, money, and electronics, including a massive 88-inch LG OLED TV.

Turning the 88-inch OLED into a touchscreen meant gluing a digitizer onto the panel, but direct contact just wasn’t going to work. So, a layer of acrylic had to first be laid down on top of the OLED before installing the digitizer as well as some LOCA glue clear things up. The case consists of aluminum trusses and sheeting, while the hardware components inside comes from a gaming PC with 128GB of RAM running the Android 13-based Bliss OS. As for the camera, the duo decided upon a 45MP Canon R5 sporting a 28mm lens, which boasts wireless capabilities, enabling it to be connected to the OLED screen. When all was said and done, it took over a year and more than $70,000 USD to build the largest iPhone in the world.
