Russia-based Caviar introduces the Apple iPhone XI “Apollo 11” concept, and the only thing it has to do with the moon landing is that the smartphone will only be limited to 50-units worldwide. This limited edition smartphone is touted as being fire, water and frost resistant, thanks to a shell made from black Kevlar, titanium as well as some ultra high strength composite material. Kevlar is typically used to make bulletproof clothing and also offers high fire resistance while shielding from extreme temperatures up to 460° C or -200° C.

Caviar does hope that humanity will one day set foot on the moon again and will be offered in 64GB, 128GB and 512GB capacities – made to order. Prices will set you back a cool $ 4,400 USD to $ 5,110 USD. Now would one of these handsets last a trip to the moon’s surface and back? Only if the company does decide to make it a reality when Apple announces the new handsets this September.
