At $369, the DJI RS4 Mini may only weigh in at less than 2-pounds (890 grams), but it can support cameras and smartphones that weigh up to 4.4-pounds (2 kilograms). Second generation auto-axis technology lets creators unlock the gimbal’s three-axis locks in just one second, thus speeding up the filming, transition, and storage processes.
Teflon interlayers and a fine-tuning knob ensure that the RS 4 Mini can achieve smoother as well as more precise millimeter-level balancing when installing a camera. A new Responsive mode helps the gimbal respond faster to hand movements upon start or stop, making it perfect for fast-moving subject circling shots. Battery life has also increased by 30%, compared to the RS3 Mini, extending the operating time to 13 hours.
