Slated for release in August 2023, the new Ahsoka series, directed by Dave Filoni among others, was teased during Star Wars Celebration Day. It stars Rosario Dawson (Ahsoka Tano), Natasha Liu Bordizzo (Sabine Wren), Eman Esfandi (Ezra Bridger), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Hera Syndulla), Ray Stevenson (Baylan), David Tennant (Huyang), and Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker).
The series follow Ahsoka and Sabine’s journey to find Ezra Bridger as they face the looming threat of Thrawn’s return as heir to the Empire. It’s set 5-years after Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi where we see Darth Vader fatally electrocuted by Emperor Palpatine as he falls into the reactor shaft, but should pick up after Ahsoka’s appearance in The Mandalorian season two. You’ll also see Genevieve O’Reilly and Diana Lee Inosanto reprise their roles as Mon Mothma and Morgan Elsbeth, respectively.
