The AmazonBasics Microwave with Alexa sounds good on paper, but just how useful is it? Amazon explores some failed Alexa devices that didn’t quite make it in their latest Super Bowl ad, featuring Harrison Ford, Forest Whitaker, “Broad City” creators Ilana Glazer / Abbi Jacobson, and astronaut twins Scott / Mark Kelly.
Some of these failed gadgets include: an Alexa-enabled toothbrush, dog collar, and even a hot tub. With the prevalence of social media, we’re surprised that Amazon hasn’t cashed in on some of these failed gadgets by creating crowdfunding campaigns to gauge interest.
- Two-Step Child Lock: This mandatory safety feature for microwaves helps prevent unintended use by younger family members, plesase open the machine...
- 8-in-1 Multifuntional Microwave One microwave with multi-functions of microwave, air fry, bake(convection), broil (grill), combi., low temp., odor...
- Healthy Air Fryer Microwave Combo: Enjoy your wholesome fried food with original taste but less fat with healthy air fry.
The ad was teased last week with four short video snippets, in which the celebs were said to be taking part in the ‘Amazon Beta Testing Program.’ Last year, CEO Jeff Bezos made a cameo, when Alexa lost her voice. He’s nowhere to be seen in this year’s ad. How it stacks up against the competition in the viral race ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl remains to be seen,” reports Geek Wire.
