Xiaomi CyberOne Humanoid Robot
Tesla’s Optimus robot is coming sooner than later, but the Xiaomi CyberOne humanoid robot has beat Elon Musk to the punch. Standing 5.8-feet tall and weighing 115-pounds, CyberOne supports up to 21 degrees of freedom in motion while achieving a real-time response speed of 0.5ms for each degree of freedom, enabling it to fully simulate human movements.

Powering its joints are super high-efficiency motors weighing just 500g each with a rated output torque of up to 30Nm for the upper limb joint motor. The hip joint motor is also quite similar and capable of an instantaneous peak torque of up to 300Nm. For walking, Xiaomi’s CyberOne utilizes a self-developed humanoid bipedal control algorithm. Its walking posture has been programmed to be both natural and stable. Plus, it’s capable of holding up to 3.3 lb (1.5kg) using a single hand. Other features include an OLED panel used as the face and two microphones for identifying emotions from human vocal expressions. No release date has been announced, but CEO Lei Jun stated that it would cost around $90,000 – $100,000 USD if released in the near future.
