Apple AirPods Pro may have been announced yesterday, but some people already managed to get their hands on them, like Marques Brownlee. Just to recap, this new model has Active Noise Cancellation, which uses two microphones combined with advanced software to continuously adapt to each individual ear and headphone fit. The first microphone is outward-facing to detect external sound and analyze environmental noise. The AirPods Pro then uses this data to create an equivalent anti-noise that cancels out background noise before it reaches your ear. A second inward-facing microphone listens toward the ear, and then cancels the remaining noise detected by the microphone. Best of all, this technology continuously adapts the sound signal 200 times per second.
