Analysts claim that Apple will be releasing two wireless earphone model this year, the “AirPods 3” and a high-end “AirPods Pro” with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology. A leaked report from China claims that the noise-cancelling model is set to arrive at the end of October, priced around around $260, which would put it in direct competition with Microsoft’s $249 Surface Earbuds. China Economic Daily reports that the new AirPods feature the new in-ear design to improve passive noise isolation, along with a metal design to increase heat dissipation. It’s hard to imagine that Apple would be completely refreshing its AirPods lineup so soon especially after last spring’s update. Some say the standard AirPods 3 could just be new color, whiling the hardware is unchanged.
