Apple Computer Company Check Steve Jobs Auction
An Apple Computer Company check signed by Steve Jobs payable to Graphics West for $33.92 and dated July 9, 1976 has hit the auction block. It’s estimated to fetch over $25,0000 USD and uses Apple’s first official address at 770 Welch Rd., Ste. 154, Palo Alto, which is the location of an answering service and mail drop that they used while still operating out of Jobs’ family garage.

Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak were bringing their Apple-1 Computer to market in 1976. Since Graphics West was a lithography and printing firm, they most likely used them for the production of early Apple-1 marketing or support materials. Within the next decade, the Apple LaserWriter let users print similar materials right from their own home, but at the hefty price tag of $6,995 ($19,872 in 2023).
