Apple’s Photonic Engine improves mid- to low-light performance for photos across all cameras compared to its predecessors and is capable of preserving subtle textures, provide better color, as well as maintaining more information in a photo. Plus, you get Emergency SOS, which allows users to message with emergency services when there is no cellular or WiFi coverage using a satellite connection. Pre-orders start Friday (March 10), with shipments beginning on March 14.
