An Apple Smart Wallet for iPhone might be in the works, according to this newly uncovered patent filing. This accessory would be equipped with sensors capable of detecting if a card is missing, while the speaker could produce an audible tone to alert the user.
When a ‘smart card’ is placed in the wallet, it can be used as a GPS of sorts to log events including a current timestamp. Think of the card as an Air Tag that may be able to lock certain slots of possibly even destroying the interior components if need be. Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on when or if this accessory will be released.
