Finally, the first Apple Vision Pro teardown video has been released, and it comes from none other than the experts at iFixit. The most fascinating feature might be its EyeSight display, which is essentially a lenticular screen that projects a 3D version of the user’s eyes to emulate their gaze.
Before attempting to take apart your own Apple Vision Pro, keep in mind that the glass panel is glued on, and will take a lot of heat and time to remove without melting or breaking anything. The external battery is largely hidden from publicity photos, but you’ll definitely notice its weight when using the device, as it weighs 353g. As you dive deeper into the teardown, it’s safe to assume that Apple will begin streamlining things in their next-generation Vision Pro.

We knew it would be tough to get inside (it was). We hoped we wouldn’t break anything (we did). But we knew it would be worth it to see all the new technology Apple squeezed into this thing, from the EyeSight display to the sensor array, the external battery back to the R1 chip. We brought in the heavy hitters for this teardown, including x-ray views of the frame and high-resolution microscope shots of the displays,” said Charlie Sorrel, iFixit Eidtor.
