At first glance, T8 could possibly be mistaken for a real spider, a giant one at that, but this eight-legged machine is actually 3D-printed, and made by Robugtix. It uses 26 servo motors – 3 in each leg and 2 in the abdomen – to control its 3D-printed body, and is powered by the Bigfoot Inverse Kinematics Engine, which allows it to crawl around with either pre-programmed commands or manual control, wile performing all of the necessary calculations in real-time. The commands are sent to the robot through a wireless XBee. This little spider only requires 4 x AA 4.8V NiMH rechargeable batteries to run.
