Bigscreen Beyond World's Smallest VR Headset
Bigscreen Beyond is touted as the world’s smallest VR headset, and when paired with the WeTec haptic skin, you’ve got a truly gaming setup. At just 127g, the headset measures less than 1-inch at its thinnest point and comes in form factor that is 6X lighter than its competitors, without lacking in features.

The headset sports two high-resolution OLED displays, each with a resolution of 2560 x 2560 pixels, offering a combined 5120 x 2560 pixel resolution. These OLED displays each come with custom 3-element pancake optics that create a wide field of view and a 28 pixels-per-degree (PPD) image. For the absolute best fit, each customer will receive an email to scan themselves using Bigscreen’s iPhone app after ordering. The company will then built a headset based on their face scan. Available for pre-order today, priced at $999 USD, with shipments beginning in Q3 2023.

Today’s leading VR headsets have doubled in weight compared to headsets from 2016. We built Beyond because we felt VR was too heavy, bulky, and uncomfortable. We invented new technologies to increase comfort, and developed ultra-high-end components like OLED microdisplays and pancake optics to increase immersion. To deliver the best software experience for watching movies in Bigscreen, we also had to build the best hardware with Bigscreen Beyond,” said Darshan Shankar, Bigscreen’s Founder & CEO.
