The Meta Quest Pro is coming sooner than later, and Lenovo’s ThinkReality VRX virtual reality headset just might beat Zuckerberg to the punch. Boasting a slim profile, the six-degrees-of-freedom (6DoF) ThinkReality VRX comes equipped with pancake optics and full color, high-resolution pass-through capabilities for mixed reality (MR) applications.
Virtual reality has helped businesses achieve four times faster training on soft skills compared to classroom training and 275% more confidence in applying skills learned. It can operate as a standalone device or tethered to a PC / workstation for streaming experiences. Plus, it’s capable of utilizing cloud-based rendering solutions, such as NVIDIA CloudXR for graphics-intensive XR experiences requiring high-end, GPU-based performance. Available later this year to select partners, and general availability worldwide in early 2023, with pricing yet to be announced.
