Blizzard Entertainment has just revealed Warcraft Arclight Rumble, a new free-to-play mobile strategy game for iOS and Android with a few familiar tower defense elements. Players will be able to build armies with their favorite heroes and villains (over 60 characters) from the Warcraft universe before battling it out in unique missions.
The heroes and villains are brought to life as miniature sculpted tabletop characters where they can triumph through a single-player campaign with over 70 missions. Or, players can take on cooperative missions with their friends or just test their armies in a competitive player-versus-player mode. That’s right, players can battle opponents in PvP matches and join Guilds to form a community to chat, plan adventures as well as work towards rewards. There’s no word yet on a definitive release date, but the beta is set to begin soon. For those who prefer the PC version, there’s this World of Warcraft remake in Unreal Engine.
