BMW i8 Roadster Formula E
BMW has unveiled its latest Formula E safety car, and it’s based on the i8 Roadster. Unlike the production model, this special safety car sits 15mm lower to the ground, comes equipped with an FIA-approved roll bar, a new front splitter and of a light bar mounted above the rear wing for better visibility. Other upgrades include GPS communication antennas, a rear view camera, and retaining the standard 228hp 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol engine with a 141hp electric motor for a combined power output for 386hp.
