BOE debuted the world’s first 110-inch 16K TV at Display Week 2023 in Los Angeles. HDTVTest’s Vincent Teoh got up-close with the display and found that it boasts 33.2 million pixels, which is around 16-times more than a standard 4K panel, but at 60Hz. However, it’s still far smaller than LG’s 272-inch Magnit Micro LED 8K display.
It features 400 nits of brightness, a 1,200:1 contrast ratio, and 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Vincent Teoh got so close that he found that even the individual pixels were not visible even standing right in front of it. The 60Hz refresh rate is due to the immense processing power required to go any higher. This 110-inch 16K TV will most likely not see production, as it would retail for $100,000+.
