Canoo Subscription Electric Vehicle
There’s subscription boxes, and then Canoo, an electric vehicle that does away with dealerships, registration, insurance, maintenance and even repairs. How so? The company is only offering the vehicle on a month-to-month subscription model with an app that puts everything at your fingertips. This minibus of sorts is powered by a single, rear-mounted electric motor generating 300 hp from a 80 kWh battery pack good for 250-miles of driving range. When it launches in 2021, each van will come with a fully autonomous driving system and possibly a manual option as well, since this prototype features a steering wheel, along with brake and accelerator pedals. Step inside, and you’ll find a cabin covered with glass, a curved bench seat that wraps around the rear, and two traditional seats up front that can spin around to face rear passengers.
