Industrial Inspection and Consulting (IIC) says they can now use a CT scanner to reveal exactly what’s inside unopened Pokemon packs, or more specifically, the holographic cards. The method involves extracting the shape of the Pokemon due to slight density differences in the cards and foils.
Since no portable CT scanners exist, you won’t have to worry about unscrupulous actors scanning all of the packs at your local Target or Walmart. However, if you do have some sealed packs at home and are curious, Industrial Inspection and Consulting (IIC) can scan them for around $75 USD a pop. This will most certainly open the door to people looking to offload their packs with rare cards at a hefty premium.
