Pokemon Yellow Remake 3D
This fan-made Pokemon Yellow remake gives the 1998 classic a 3D makeover, and while this may sound simple, the process was quite tedious to say the least. Pokebro had to first recreate all of the characters using voxel art before tackling Pokemon Yellow’s Kanto region.

The entire process went smoothly and Pokebro was able to remake Pokemon Yellow all the way up to Pewter City, the famous area where Trainers encounter gym leader Brock to battle for their first badge. For those who remember, alongside the release of Pokemon Yellow, Nintendo also launched a special edition yellow Pokemon-themed Game Boy Color that now commands a hefty premium on reseller websites. Or, you could just use pure silver to make your own metal Pokemon Silver cartridge.

Unlike its predecessors, Pokemon Yellow boasts several enhancements and changes, including Pikachu as the only available character to start with. Pikachu is given both a voice and a personality unique from other Pokémon and follows the player on the overworld. Pikachu initially has an indifferent opinion of the player, but can grow to love or hate them based on the player’s actions. This means that leveling up keeps the character happy, while fainting frequently will make it unhappy.
