Simply put, it’s designed to be an affordable, innovative, seaplane capable of operating efficiently in ground effect (< 100 feet above surface) andsustain flight altitudes up to 10,000 feet mean sea level (MSL).
Its design allows for efficient theater-range transport of large payloads at speeds far exceeding existing sea lift platforms. Liberty Lifter will utilize low cost manufacturing similar to ship fabrication, while still building a seaplane capable of meeting United States Department of Defense heavy lift requirements (100+ tons) that operates with runway and port independence.
