Dave's Armoury Real Portal GLaDOS Robot AI
Just about everyone who has played Portal is familiar with GLaDOS, the artificially intelligent computer system from the game. Gamer and YouTuber Dave Niewinski of Dave’s Armoury built a real-life version using the NVIDIA Jetson platform for edge AI and robotics.

This interactive GLaDOS robot basically servers as a personal assistant for Niewinski in the lab, and handles queries using Transformer-based speech recognition, text-to-speech, as well as large language models (LLMs) running onboard an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin. the Jetson AGX Orin interfaces with a robot arm and camera for interactions. In other words, GLaDOS is capable of tracking his whereabouts in the lab, moving in various directions to face him and also respond quickly to queries.

I like doing things with robots that people will look at and say it’s not what they had immediately expected. Using Jetson, your average question-and-answer stuff runs pretty quick for speech,” said Niewinski.
