“The Batman” director Matt Reeves gives us a preview of what the sequel to his DC blockbuster may hold with a deleted scene showing Robert Pattinson’s character meeting with Barry Keoghan’s Joker to help uncover the identity of the Paul Dano’s Riddler. Initially, Reeves wanted fans to solve three riddles before being able to watch the scene, but the unlisted video was quickly circulated throughout social media. Read more to watch the scene.
For those who have already seen the film, the audience never really gets a clear look at the Joker, but instead, just a silhouette. However, Reeves didn’t keep the interrogation scene in the final cut due to his idea of the Joker not yet becoming the supervillain that terrorizes Gotham.
- Features a true-to-life model car - a LEGO Technic replica version of the BATMOBILE, the iconic super-hero car, as seen in the 2022 movie
- There's lots to explore in this epic car model, with 2 light bricks included, plus an 8-cylinder engine with moving pistons and a spinning flame
- Other features of this LEGO BATMOBILE model car include front steering, differential on rear wheels, plus opening doors and hood
What’s interesting is that the reason that Joker’s in the movie is there was actually another scene that was earlier. And because the movie is not an origin tale for Batman, but it’s his early days, it really is an origin tale for the Rogue’s Gallery’s characters. And for me, I think [it’s] this idea that the Joker is not yet the Joker, but they already have this relationship,” said Reeves.
