DeltaH Cool Can Self-Cooling Aluminum Beverage
There’s the Realme 10 Pro Coca-Cola Edition smartphone, and then the DeltaH ‘Cool Can’. The London-based startup claims it has developed the world’s first self-cooling aluminum beverage can.

When you press a button on the bottom of the can, it activates the cooling mechanism, dropping the temperature from around 71°F (22°C) to 42°F (6°C) almost instantly. That’s a refreshing chill without any external help—perfect for picnics, festivals, or just grabbing a cold one on the go. The idea isn’t entirely new—big drink brands have been trying to crack self-cooling tech for decades—but DeltaH seems to have nailed it where others couldn’t. The can is fully recyclable, which is a nice touch given the push for sustainable packaging these days.

James Vyse, the founder of DeltaH Innovations and creator of the Cool Can, comes from a beverage background—he previously founded The Cocktail Man, a ready-to-drink cocktail brand—before shifting gears to tackle this challenge. He’s confident about its edge over past attempts by big brands like Coca-Cola or AB InBev, noting that cost, scalability, and sustainability were stumbling blocks for others.

At the back of every can containing a beverage, it’s always displayed as best served ‘chilled’ but this isn’t possible when you are on-the-go. Our patent-pending Cool>Can solves this problem for both consumers and brands, self-cooling on-the-go with a simple twist at the bottom,” said Vyse.
