DIY Homemade Submarine
For those who can’t afford a $2-billion Migaloo M5, there’s always the option of building your own. A DIY homemade submarine may not have all the bells and whistles of a billion dollar version, but Steve of ‘Planes Boats and Submarines’ on YouTube shows that it can at least be safe.

The 6,000 pound ‘Lake Defender’ measures 26-feet-long and was built entirely by hand. However, this isn’t something that just anyone can build, as it cost around $26,000 USD in parts alone, with that number ever increasing as modifications are made. As of today, it’s not yet certified for commercial use, although it has undergone rigorous testing for personal dives. It’s capable of diving up to 60 feet, with a crush depth estimated to be at 120 feet.
