New details on the DJI Mini 5 Pro have surfaced and they include leaked images, a promo poster and a release date. A sub-250g drone with a 1-inch sensor, LiDAR and over 50 minutes of flight time feels like DJI is pushing the limits of what’s possible in the ultralight category.
Official press images give us a clear look at the Mini 5 Pro from all angles. These aren’t grainy spy shots, these are polished renders showing off the drone’s design. From below, the camera stands out, with a noise level of 81db – the same as the Mini 4 Pro. Sensors on the bottom and front of the drone, with new LiDAR added, promise better obstacle detection especially in low light conditions, making night flights safer and smoother.

A promo poster hints at the Mini 5 Pro’s tagline “Pro in Mini” – professional features in a featherweight body. While the poster isn’t fully confirmed, it adds to the speculation. The image shows the drone in action, highlighting its compact agility.

A leaked retail box for the Fly More Combo shows 52 minutes of flight time with the “Flight Battery Plus” units. That’s a big jump from the Mini 4 Pro’s 34 minutes and even more than the earlier leaks suggesting 36 minutes. Standard batteries at 27.8mAh keep the drone under 250g, so it’s still travel friendly in regions with strict regulations. The Plus batteries at 33.5mAh might put it slightly over 250g, so you might need to register in some areas.

Multiple sources confirm the Mini 5 Pro will have a 1-inch CMOS sensor – the first for the Mini series. The larger sensor with 24mm f/1.8 lens promises more detail and better low light performance. 4K video at 120fps and 48mm telephoto mode via crop zoom for tighter framing options. The gimbal can now rotate 225 degrees for social media creators with true vertical shooting.Accessories are getting some love too. Leaked images from DroneXL show clip-on ND filters (8, 16, 128) for managing bright daylight shots. A three-battery charging hub and new click-on propellers like the old DJI Spark make maintenance easier – no more wrestling with tiny screws after a crash. OcuSync 4+ transmission, rumored to reach up to 25km, will give you a solid connection for long range flights. There’s even a side button for controller-free takeoff, a feature from the DJI Neo, which will make solo flights easier.

Release details are still unclear but the latest reports say mid-September 2025. A retailer database lists September 18 as the availability date but an earlier rumor says September 16.
