Dr. Mario World has been released a day early for both the iOS and Android platforms. This free-to-play game by Nintendo features in-app purchases consisting of diamond bundles that are priced from $2 to $70. These can be used by players to refresh their energy meter or be used to acquire items such as extra capsules. However, the Coins are free and earned through in-game progress and used to summon additional doctors. The game basically has you matching capsules with viruses and watching them disappear – just match three objects of the same color vertically or horizontally to clear them. Dr. Mario, along with his friends, have virus-busting skills, and players can use leftover half-capsules to strategically zero in on especially meddlesome viruses. Each puzzling configuration of viruses must be cleared using a limited number of capsules, so take your time and plan your approach. There are more than 200 stages at launch, with more coming in the future as well as new doctors and assistants.
