Dubai Walk Project
The Dubai Walk Project aims to transform the city with elevated, air-conditioned paths. This will include around 4,000 miles of walkways in total throughout Dubai, with 1,430 miles of it consisting of rehabilitated existing pathways.

‘The Future Loop’ connects 10 key locations, and will be a 322,000-squre-foot air-conditioned level for year-round walking, and an additional 322,000-square-feet of shaded, green open spaces. It will include commercial spaces, and is set to be developed through a public-private partnership, with the pilot phase running from 2025-2027 and a 2040 completion date.

Dubai Walk Project

We have approved the Dubai Walk Master Plan, a 6,500 km network of modern walkways covering 160 areas across the emirate. The plan includes constructing 3,300 km of new walkways and rehabilitating 2,300 km of existing ones by 2040, in addition to more than 900 km of walkways planned beyond 2040. It also involves developing 110 pedestrian bridges and underpasses to enhance connectivity. This ambitious plan aims to increase pedestrian and soft mobility from 13% to 25% by 2040,” said Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
