Dyson has been reinventing everyday appliances for decades, and their latest idea was to take on Tesla, as they envisioned electric car with a 600-mile range on a single charge. Unfortunately, things didn’t go quite as planned. James Dyson invested over $600-million from his own pockets to develop this EV, but he soon discovered that there was absolutely no way to turn a profit should they have went to market.

The vehicle was codenamed “N526,” and it featured a seven-seat design, all powered by two 200kW electric motors generating 536 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0-62mph in a respectable 4.8 seconds, considering its 2.6-ton weight. This electric SUV measured five meters long, two meters wide and 1.7 meters tall, complete with a windscreen that rakes back more steeply than on a Ferrari, complemented by wheels bigger than on any production car on the market.
