Remember the Halo: Combat Evolved prototype that debuted at E3 2000? The one that Bungie made specifically to showcase the power of NVIDIA’s GeForce 2 GTS graphics card using the E3 engine? Well, you can now download the build and try it out yourself.
Now you may be wondering why this is significant, and the answer to that is that Bungie actually began the development of what would eventually become Halo in 1997. The initial idea was a real-time strategy game, but it eventually morphed into a third-person shooter before becoming a first-person shooter.
