EK unveils the EK-QuantumX CoolingStation Monoblock, an accessory that brings water cooling to the PS5, but with disassembly required. Why? It covers the console’s entire PCB to cool all of the critical components on the front and back of the board.
This water block needs to be mounted with standard ATX stand-offs for motherboards. In other words, you need to acquire a separate mATX cases for your water-cooled PS5, complete with rich D-RGB lighting on the front as well as a plexi cutout. Once setup, you’ll be able to maintain consistent temperatures with minimal fan speed fluctuations. Plus, the water-cooling radiator’s extensive surface area means lower fan speeds alone are enough to dissipate heat, resulting in reduced noise levels. Available late October 2023, priced at $449.99 USD. More information here.

The monoblock base is made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper with a see-through acrylic window. Additional cosmetic and assembly pieces are made of stainless steel and aluminum, and do not come in contact with the coolant, so there is no mixing of metals,” said the company.
