
Here’s a first look at the all-electric Morgan XP-1 prototype, a three-wheeled roadster based on the Morgan Super 3 that weighs just 1,543 pounds. Power comes from a single electric motor generating 134 hp, enabling it to hit 62 mph in 3.5 seconds.
A custom interior display allows for user interface (UI) experimentation, while external charge level indicator LEDs surround the front cowl and new aerodynamic wheel trims. On a full charge, its 33 kWh battery located up front has a 150 mile range. he XP-1 will serve as a test bed for all future electric Morgan sports cars by providing key information to the automaker’s engineers and designers as they embark on the development of the company’s first production electric models.
