Engineered Arts’ AI-powered Ameca robot attempts to tell a joke, and as you’re about to see, hilarity doesn’t quite ensue. Getting to this level of conversation required a custom GPT 3 model with Ameca Desktop, or the head and neck only version of the robot.
Behind the scenes, Ameca is running a collection of Python scripts on Engineered Arts’ Tritium 2 platform. The good news is that Tritium 3 is now in the final stages of alpha testing, which is an OpenAI Whisper running on an NVIDIA RTX4090 graphics card. This robot operating system works in conjunction with Ameca’s human-like artificial body, allowing for easy future upgrades, both physically and software wise.
