Enhanced Night-Vision Device United States Army Goggles
US Army soldiers assigned to 4th Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 7th Infantry Division tested all-new enhanced night-vision goggles-binoculars when they conducted a platoon live-fire exercise on April 19 at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington. Despite looking like a computer-rendered scene, what you’re looking at is the “Outline Mode Fused + AR [Augmented Reality] / RTA [Rapid Target Acquisition]”.

The system consists of a high-resolution display, an embedded soldier wireless personal area network, rapid target acquisition and multiple augmented reality algorithms capable of interfacing with the US Army’s Nett Warrior. When used in the battlefield, soldiers will be able to keep their eyes on their target without having to look down at maps or check radios, since all information is shown directly on the display.
