Universal Orlando announced its latest theme park today, called Epic Universe. It’s currently under construction on a 750-acre plot of land in Orlando, Florida, and will also include hotels, restaurants, shops, as well as the possible Super Nintendo World that has been rumored for quite some time. This is the first theme park Universal has built since 1999 when Islands of Adventure opened. Read more for a video of the press conference and additional information.
Universal Parks CEO Tom Williams said the park will add 14,000 jobs to Orange County, Florida with the base pay starting at $15 an hour. A map released by Universal Orlando shows that the new 750-acre theme park will be located on the other side of Kirkman Road and Interstate 4 from the existing resort.
