A PC case that weighs as much as a small child and cools without a single fan? Meet the FanlessVC2300S, a 47-pound copper monster from a Chinese manufacturer that’s turning heads and raising eyebrows. It’s only available in China, with a limited-edition all-copper version limited to just ten units.

The FanlessVC2300S, 360 x 303 x 130mm in size, is small for a desktop but heavy. The all-copper version weighs 21.5 kilograms (about 47 pounds), almost twice as much as its aluminum-clad counterpart which weighs 11.2 kilograms. Why so heavy? Copper, the star of the show, is denser than aluminum and this case relies heavily on its density for cooling. The limited edition chassis is made entirely of copper, not just as an accent but as a practical foundation. Even the regular model with aluminum exterior has a large copper heatsink that is part of the structure. This is not a case with a cooling system – it’s a cooling system that is a case.

Cooling without fans is a tough task, especially when trying to manage up to 250 watts of heat from CPU and GPU combined. The FanlessVC2300S does this with a clever design that includes 17 8mm heat pipes for the CPU, 1 10mm heat pipe with 3 vapor chambers for the GPU and 4 copper-finned surfaces totaling 1.3 square meters of heat dissipation area. 3 more metal heatsinks complete the package, so every watt of heat has somewhere to go.

Inside, the case can fit a mini-ITX motherboard (170 x 170mm), which may seem small given the case’s size but the cooling system takes up most of the 14.2 liter interior. There’s room for a half-height, dual-slot graphics card like the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 which consumes about 145 watts and leaves about 105 watts for the CPU. Memory modules up to 44mm tall and a single 2.5-inch storage drive can fit beside a Flex ATX power supply (Platinum-rated is recommended). Some may want support for larger motherboards but the mini-ITX form factor prioritizes efficiency and silence, so this is perfect for builders looking for a quiet high-performance system.

But availability is a problem because this case is only available on China’s Taobao marketplace, with the aluminum version starting at 1,760 Chinese Yuan (about $250) during its initial phase and 2,000 Yuan ($280) afterwards. What about the all-copper version? That’s a mystery – no price information has been revealed and with only 10 units available, it’s more of a collectible than a practical purchase. Shipping either version worldwide is tough not only because of availability but also because of its weight. Forty seven pounds is a lot of weight and the copper model’s shipping fee may exceed its purchase price, making it a sedentary beast best suited for people who can get it locally.
